New 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander – We recently discovered the prototype testing of a camouflaged SUV in Michigan that was so mysterious that we needed a while to know that it was the next-generation Mitsubishi Outlander man. Two years before Mitsubishi joined the Renault-Nissan Alliance in 2016. It needs an update, and it seems that’s what Mitsubishi is working on now. A new spy photo shows for the first time an Outlander camouflaged test in the Midwest. But it doesn’t make us completely in the dark about the renewed offer.
There is a great chance that the next New Mitsubishi Outlander generation will climb on the same platform with the next Nissan Rogue-Synergy to win. That means Outlander will grow larger than the current model. It should be able to compete directly with other medium SUVs such as Hyundai Santa Fe. The design should emulate the concept of Mitsubishi Engelberg Tourer.
What’s New 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander
New 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander Hybrid
Moving the Outlander next can be a 1.5 litre four-cylinder turbocharged that turns on the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross. It produces 153 horsepower (114 kilowatts); However, if it’s used in Outlander, expect it to make more power. The hybrid version of Plug-in with four 2.4 liter cylinders is also expected. The 2021 Outlander can re-borrow from the concept of Engelberg Tourer, this time using the twin concept motorcycle design. The company claimed the concept could generate an electrical mileage of 43 miles only.
New 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander Design
No doubt Outlander’s next generation will borrow a lot from the concept of Engelberg Tourer. Camouflage does a good job of hiding most of the details, but you can find similarities between drafts and closed prototypes. The front and backlighting elements are almost identical, and both share a very blunt and upright nose. We will know how important the two are in the upcoming spring when the new Mitsubishi Outlander is debuting at the Geneva Motor Show or the New York Auto Show. It should be on sale in autumn 2020.
New 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander Interior
New 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander looks from the proportions of this prototype that the Outlander next will grow significantly in size. Currently, it is on the big end of the compact SUV segment and offers up to seven seats, but this new model is seen as a legitimate mid-sizer, likely with the third seat line being much more accommodating. For us, the size is roughly the size of the Pilot Honda or Hyundai Santa Fe.
It would be in line with a rejiggering lineup of Mitsubishi SUVs, as we expect the next Outlander Sport to also grow in size. Once the transformation is over, Eclipse Cross will be the smallest offer, Outlander Sport will fit neatly into its compact space, and Outlander it will serve as a medium-size SUV company.
New 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander Engine
We suspect (and expect) that this new Outlander will be using the new foundation, perhaps a broader version of the Eclipse Cross-platform. It will also share the 1.5-liter turbocharged engine inline-four as its base engine, with the V-6 engine available as an option and the Outlander current plug-in-hybrid powertrain tends to be brought to a new generation with multiple updates. We have to hear more about the new Mitsubishi Outlander 2022 around next year when Mitsubishi prepares to launch this new model in the US market.
