2022 Mitsubishi Outlander Hybrid

The New Mitsubishi Outlander 2022, or Mitsubishi anything, might not be a car when you think of a global bestseller. But the fact is that the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is the world’s best-selling hybrid plug-in electric vehicle and the only bright spot for companies in the European market. The question now, could Mitsubishi repeat the success with the next Outlander generation. Following the world premiere of Mk3 Outlander in March 2012, Mitsubishi quickly launched a variant of the electric hybrid plug-in in September 2012. The market response is great for environmentally friendly variants. Although we did not have the latest figures, in July 2019, Mitsubishi has sold over 2.00.000 units of Outlander PHEV globally.

2022 development of the new generation Mitsubishi Outlander started a few years ago and it was interesting what repairs to a fully redesigned mid-size SUV would bring into the world of electric vehicle hybrid plug-ins. Mitsubishi Outlander Baru is being tested in Japan, the United States, and Europe as the size crossover is being prepared for new electrification challenges this decade.

2022 Mitsubishi Outlander Engine Performance

The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV 2022 uses a 4B12 2.4-liter gasoline engine that is naturally aspirated along with two electric motors, one (S61) in front and one (Y61) at the rear, moving the wheels. The 300-volt lithium-ion battery pack with a storage capacity of 13.8 kWh provides juice for electric motors. The pure electrical range achieved with this setting is 65.0 km/h (JC08 mode)/57.6 km/L (WLTC mode).

The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV 2022 should be continued with an inline four-cylinder gasoline engine along with two electric motors that move it. However, it is expected to carry a larger battery pack that allows a larger range of pure electricity between 70-100 km (WLTC mode). That is the hope set by Mitsubishi Engelberg Tourer, the concept of PHEV that serves as the base design for the Mk4 Mitsubishi Outlander. As a reference, the concept of PHEV is claimed to offer a range of 70 km (WLTP mode).

2022 Mitsubishi Outlander Release Date

New 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander Next generation will debut in March 2021 and the next-generation Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV will follow in FY2022 (April 2021-March 2022) as announced in the mid-term business plan of the company which was released on July 27. Sales in the first market such as Japan and the US can start at the end of-2021. Mitsubishi was reportedly evaluating an electric SUV hybrid plug-in with the latest generation for launch in India but never did.

Although Mitsubishi does not say anything about India in its high-term presentation, a strategy of changing the bow to growing attendance in our markets is significantly said to be being worked on, and that includes establishing a new local manufacturing facility. That, combined with the strong urge of the government to electrification, should motivate the company to launch the new generation Outlander PHEV here.
